Read the teaser  excerpt

Cathy was driving back to her office, when halfway there, she decided to go and see the building she had just rented.

She knew the route now and was soon parking in the opulent car park. A sense of anticipation gave her butterflies in her stomach as she walked toward the building with the key in her hand.

The front door was ajar again and Cathy frowned. She inspected the lock. It seemed okay, but she decided it must be faulty. She’d seen locks like this before that appeared to lock, but then somehow the mechanism shifted and even a slight wind would blow the door open.

She didn’t think it likely anyone would have gone into the place because the square spoke of a quiet business environment. Cathy went in there happily. She walked around all the rooms and pulled the coverings off the windows leaving a small stack of newspapers in the corner of each room. The sun streamed in and cheered the place immediately. Cathy set about opening windows and was incredibly pleased to find they opened easily. The locks slid easily and the sash lifted smoothly. Soon the place was filling with fresh air.

Cathy went up to the second floor and did the same in the rooms there. After twenty minutes of activity, she stood still and silently at the bottom of the stairs leading to the top floor. She looked up there and then around her as if someone might see her. Cathy decided to creep up the stairs, and try the door.

She expected the stairs to creek eerily, but they didn’t and were just as solid as the lower staircases. At the top was a landing, only a square of floor space, and one door. The door had a beautiful bone handle. It was an ivory white, and carved with flowers, stars, and leaves. Cathy reached out her hand and took hold of the handle, to her shock, as it turned the hair on the back of her neck prickled up. A shudder of fear went through her as she pushed the door open.

The room she could see through the opening was huge. Sunlight filled it, and as Cathy walked in, she realized the room took up the whole of the top floor. There were big windows on each side and these weren’t covered with newspaper, or the brown paper. Cathy shook her head clearing her thoughts. She felt sure she’d seen paper at these windows when she was standing in the back garden looking up.

Suddenly, she realized someone was there at the far end. It was a man in jeans and a t-shirt, and he was painting the window frame. Cathy froze. She wasn’t supposed to come up here, but surely she ought to be informed if anyone was in the building. When she moved in, her client information would need the strictest privacy and security.

The man turned around and Cathy’s heart flipped. He was quite simply the most attractive man she’d ever seen.

He walked halfway down the room and stopped.

“Who are you?” His voice was low, husky, and as attractive as he was.

Cathy’s mouth went dry with fear and her instant reaction to this man.

“I’ve just rented the place. I’m sorry, I know this floor is off limits, but the front door was open and I thought…” She improvised what was a lie in reality.

The man approached her and her words trailed away as she took in the sight of him.

He was tall and muscular. His t-shirt wasn’t tight but showed his body to be hard, and Cathy had the most astonishing urge to go to him, and run her hands up underneath it to feel his skin. His hair spiked around his ears dark and untidy in a way that was endearing for her. His eyes were a shade of dark blue she hadn’t seen before. Calling him handsome wouldn’t do him justice. He was strikingly attractive. The shape of his face, jaw, nose, all added up to make a sight Cathy registered as dreamy. He was a hunk, gorgeous, sexy, and desirable.

He stood at arm’s length with the paintbrush in his hand.

Cathy gazed at him and he smiled. It was a lovely smile and disarmed Cathy even further. She began to back away.

The man shook his head.

“It’s okay. You haven’t done anything wrong. I’m surprised to see you, but this is good. I didn’t know the place had been rented out.” His eyes held a curious expression. Cathy instinctively knew something in what he said wasn’t true, but he wasn’t angry, and he smiled again.

Cathy returned the smile.

“Cathy Faraday, and you are?” ‘He’s probably some tradesman the owner has employed and neglected to tell Alfred about.’

“Owen Sheringham.” He gave her a look that said this was all he was telling her. The look had authority, and Cathy suddenly thought he could be the owner of the building.

She nodded and backed away a little. Glancing behind her, she gestured to the door she’d entered and noticed that there were three doors. They were at intervals in the same wall and Cathy stared at them.

Owen followed her gaze and waited.

Cathy became aware of his waiting. It was tangible. She gestured again at the door she felt sure she’d entered by because it was at the end of the room near the big back windows.

“I’ll get going and let you go back to work. I only dropped by, and need to go back to my office.” She heard her voice waver, and it was all she could do to keep herself from turning and running. She reached the door and yanked it open, not realizing it had closed behind her.

Owen called out. “Come and see me tomorrow?”

Cathy only glimpsed his face as she fled through the door. He looked vulnerable and sad.

She let go of the carved bone handle and saw that she’d closed the door. For two minutes she stood there shaking, and searching the wall for any evidence of the doors that were on the other side of it. The landing wasn’t long enough to have the three doors lead out to it. ‘Perhaps they’re decoration.’

Cathy shook herself and quietly went down the stairs. Apart from finding Owen Sheringham devastatingly attractive, to the point where she felt sad that he wasn’t hers, there was something spooky about what had just happened.

She drove back to her office still feeling shaken and once there made herself black tea to shore up her nerves.

Read a #PNR #teaser as guest author @DaleIbitz makes a tour stop with The Reaper's Kiss

THE REAPER'S KISS
by Dale Ibitz

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Sex and poison aren’t enough to help William forget his status as a shunned reaper with a sordid past. Rejected, disgraced, and hopeless, he straps on his emotional armor so no one will ever hurt him again. His path to redemption for his sins is side-tracked by Natalie, an exquisite human trying to save her sister from the horrors of the Other World. But then Natalie’s reckless actions sets William on a collision course between his past and his present: a demonic tyrant who wants William back in her bed; the sadistic daughter of an angel who wants revenge on his murdering mother-goddess; and the mother-goddess who demands obedience and love from William, her favorite child. After learning the dark secret of Natalie’s past, how much will he sacrifice to save her soul?

William lost himself in sensations: the taste, the smell, the feel, everything that was Natalie. His lips continued their trek along her neck, down to her collarbone, before starting up the other side to taste her other ear. Warmth infiltrated every molecule of his body, melting the darkness in his soul, his heart, and his mind. He wanted Natalie not just physically, but emotionally. He wanted her to want him, to need him.

To love him.

Why was he torturing himself? He was no longer free to pursue her.

Lifting his head, he peered into her eyes, wide and dilated. She breathed heavily, the rise of her breasts pressing against him, stirring a need to tear off her clothes and forever brand her as his.

Her lips parted, drawing his gaze. Slowly, he sucked on her lip ring. Her lips were full and pliant, and she tasted warm and soft, like sunshine.

“Does your mouth hurt?” she whispered when he abandoned her.

“Nothing hurts when I’m touching you.”

And it was true. Overpowered by her essence, the aches dissipated: the ache in his heart, his body, and his soul. He felt whole and free, free to live and love and be a man that could be loved.

If only Natalie could love him back.

Craving another taste, he opened her mouth with his tongue. She welcomed him in, allowing him to push inside as deeply as he wanted. He savored her until she writhed and pressed her curves against his budding hardness. One hand cupped her breast, squeezing until her nipple hardened. When he rolled his thumb over the peak she broke off the kiss to lean her head back and moan. He immediately sought her neck, kissing a trail toward the neckline of her shirt.

The world faded. The bargains faded. His fate faded. All that mattered was Natalie, here and now and kissing him with all the passion he could ever hope for, initiating a desire he now knew only one woman could ever satisfy.

“Ahem.”

William froze as Bianca’s voice slammed the door on his fantasy. Closing his eyes, he murmured, “Sorry. I forgot where we were for a moment,” before stepping away and facing the other woman. To his surprise, she was grinning.

“I see you haven’t lost your touch.”

Natalie blushed. He could tell by the wave of heat hitting his back. Needing to put distance between them, he straddled the chair once again. Unable to behold his Natalie without striding across the room and kissing her, he distracted himself by sloshing another shot of vodka into his cup and tossing it down. He shuddered when the burn hit the back of his throat.

“But,” Bianca continued, “I thought the whole point of this exercise was to keep the girl’s soul safe.”

He studied the table, unresponsive, unable to admit the kiss had been all pleasure, not business. At least on his part.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

He winced at Natalie’s question. She just couldn’t stop asking questions, could she? Gripping the cup in his hands, he braced himself for Bianca’s answer. If there had been any wavering in Natalie’s feelings toward him, it was about to unravel.

All he wants is to get out alive with the little blonde bombshell who has his heart clenched in a vice grip #MCromance #romance #giveaway @vdanann

DEVILS MARKER
Sons of Sanctuary MC, Austin, Texas Book 4
by Victoria Danann

Genre: MC Contemporary Romance (hot heat level)

  • The Waco, Texas Marauders MC is on the verge of war.
  • New arrivals, Stars and Bars MC, are engaged in activities too nefarious for even the notorious Marauders.
  • New SSMC member, Win Garrett, is planted inside to get information and fill a marker owed by the club.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Victoria Danann, adds a bit of grit and reality to the runaway hit series Sons of Sanctuary. Devils Marker is a tale of romance and suspense loosely based on actual events.

CAN BE READ AS A STAND ALONE.

A biker who walked away from a SoCal outlaw club came to the SSMC seeking a quiet life that might become a long life. Little did he know he was jumping out of the frying pan into the fire when the club president asked him to fill a marker owed to a Texas Ranger.

Win Garrett chose the fast track option to respect and a full patch with the club, but things changed when the daughter of the Marauders' prez caught his eye. Now all he wants is to get out alive with the little blonde bombshell who has his heart clenched in a vice grip with passion pink fingernails.

“I could be marked. Clubs have a way of figurin’ things out.”

“That’s why it’s gotta be up to you. Full patch comes with full backing. Of course.” Win looked out the window, seemingly working through all the pros and cons. “You left your old club in good standing. Right?”

“Yeah.”

“So they’d speak for you if asked.”

“I suppose. The leadership had become kind of… unpredictable.”

“That happens. If you were asked, just explain it like that.”

“You sound like you think I’m sayin’ yes.”

“Got a feelin’ you’re leanin’ that way. Am I wrong?”

Win shook his head. “No. You’re not wrong. Kinda wish you were. I was just gettin’ the accounts set up and…”

“When you get back you’ll have that plus a lot more. You do this for us, you got our trust with our backs and our money.” Brant took a sip of coffee and then said, “But not our women.”

Realizing that his anxiety and indecision was creating tension in the room, Win consciously decided to lighten the mood. He grinned. “Your wife is…”

Brant said, “Stop right there, prospect. You got no call to say a word about the mother of my sons. No matter how beautiful and smart and polished and rich she is.” Brant grinned, but in a way that was more menacing than teasing. “You need some time to think about it?”

Win shook his head. “Thinkin’ about it’s not gonna change a thing. So no point. I guess I’m in. But for the record, I’d like to have it known that I’m not into reckless or suicidal. Got your word that my loyalty won’t be questioned? I mean if I survive?”

“I got a strong feelin’ you’re gonna be back as a full patch member. If I didn’t believe that, I wouldn’t have even brought this up. But I’ve been doin’ this long enough to say that when my gut speaks, I listen up.”

Win gave a nod that was both slight and unconvincing, more an acknowledgement than an agreement. “And I have your word that my loyalty won’t be questioned again. Ever.”

Brant stilled and looked the younger man squarely in the face so that he could absorb the seriousness and sincerity of the answer. “Yes. You do. I’m gonna call the Ranger right now, with you sittin’ there. So stay put.” Brant punctuated that order by pointing to the chair underneath Win’s firmly muscled behind.

“Call me back,” Brant said into the phone. “While we’re waitin’, why don’t you tell me if there’s somethin’ I need to look after regardin’ the accounts you’ve been messin’ with.”

Win took exception to the term ‘messin’ with’, but chose not to challenge the club president about his word choice. He opened his mouth to reply, but Brant’s phone rang. Brant looked at the face of the phone and accepted the call.

“He’ll do it. But if anythin’ goes wrong, you’re gonna answer to me personally.” Win could hear the muted sound of a vocal response, but couldn’t make out the words. “Stipulation. He’ll have full immunity. No. Matter. What. And he will not testify to anything later. He’ll give you a one on one confidential debriefing. In secret. Just the two of you. This is a deal breaker. Take it or leave it.” Brant paused to let the other man respond. “Just to reiterate. We’re talkin’ about a month maximum. And, if anything, I mean anything, goes south before that, I don’t care if it’s an hour after arrival, he’s outta there.”

As Win sat and listened to the one sided conversation his respect for Brant blossomed. The prez negotiated like a lawyer and seemed to really give a damn about Win’s future.

Brant hung up and looked at Win. “Gotta protect our golden goose.” Brant opened a drawer and pulled out a new burner phone.

Two brothers unknown to each other on a crash course with fate and two broken hearts.

Brigid was a graduate student at the University of Texas. It wasn't hard getting her thesis approved, but finding a Hill Country motorcycle club willing to give her access to their lifestyle was starting to look impossible. Then she got a lead. A friend of a friend had a cousin with family ties to The Sons of Sanctuary. Perfect. Or so she thought.

Brash was standing in line at the H.E.B. Market when his world tipped on its axis. While waiting his turn to check out, his gaze had wandered to the magazine display and settled on the new issue of "NOW". The image on the cover, although GQ'd up in an insanely urbane way, was... him.

After reading the article, he threw some stuff in a duffle and caught a plane to New York, on a mission to find a mysterious asshole walking around with his face.

Brandon St. Germaine was at the top of the billionaire playboy heap when he learned about a side of the family that had been kept secret. He left New York, moved to Austin, and took most of the corporate empire with him.

His dad, president of the club his grandfather founded, spent three decades converting the club's income sources to legitimate business dealings. One of the biggest earners was the security service. When a ridiculously wealthy, but justifiably frightened father hires the SSMC to protect his daughter from the psycho she's divorcing, Brand gets the job.

EXCERPT...

Cannon Johns was a man who'd once had the world in his hands and lost everything. When he rode his Harley underneath the motel office overhang just after midnight, he was soaking wet and looking for the only comfort life still had to offer. The escape of sleep.

After being told there was no food available at that time of night, he pulled his ride into the room he'd just rented and went looking for dinner in the vending machines. When he was eight feet away, he saw movement by the Mountain Dew column. In addition to being bone weary, world weary, and out of options, he was out of sorts with no patience for shenanigans.

"Come on out of there and state your business." He had to raise his voice to a near-shout to be heard over the pounding rain.

After a slight hesitation, a small figure emerged in a yellow plastic poncho, the kind you can get at the grocery store for a couple of bucks. As soon as she reached up to pull the hood back from her head he knew it was a woman by the delicate size of her hands and the way she moved.

The light was dim, but he saw her clearly as if it was noon on a bright sunny day. His late wife had once told him that he had to change out the light fixture in the kitchen because "nobody looks good in fluorescent light". The girl standing in front of him was proof it just ain't so.

Her eyes were violet blue. And wide. He wasn't sure if that was because of fear or misery. Like him, she soaking wet. Unlike him, she was shivering. Whether that was from fear or cold he couldn't guess.

"What the hell you doing out here, girl?" He looked around. "Something got you spooked?"

She licked her bottom lip. "No, ah, I'm just a little down on luck is all. I don't want any trouble."

"Don't want no trouble, huh?"

It wasn't a question. He said it as if it was a provable fact. She shook her head to both punctuate his assessment and agree with it.

"Yeah. Me, neither. At least not tonight."

To appreciate the light, you must first live in darkness… #PNR new release #giveaway tour stop @Jamie_Begley

SOUL OF A DEMON
Dark Souls series, Book 3
by Jamie Begley

Genre: Paranormal Romance (heat level 4/5)
Publisher: Young Ink Press

To appreciate the light, you must first live in darkness…

Hades has been alone for so long that seeing Grimm’s newest acquisition for him has him making several mistakes with Zerina.

The beautiful daughter of Fate should have never been let inside his domain. He should have thrown her out the first time she lifted her lovely gaze to his. He didn’t.

That was my first mistake.

The second was when I touched her.

As the king of the Underworld, I have that right, don’t I?

Not according to her.

That was my third mistake. I should have never let her speak.

The mistakes just keep coming, one after the other, until I make the biggest mistake of all.

I fall in love.

Refusing to beg him to let her leave, she then realized she just had when she had thought of it. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to block her thoughts from him.

She then felt him behind her before he touched her, taking her wrists and pulling her hands away from her hair.

“There is no way to block your thoughts from me.”

Being so close to him, and his touch on her wrists, had her biting back a moan.

Jerking away, she went to sit on her bed, then decided that was the last place she wanted to be with Hades so close. She went back to the table, placing it between them. “If you’re not going to let me go, then you can go.”

She didn’t have time to react before he transported himself to her side, jerking her to him.

The heat of his body had her nipples pebbling under her sweater as her breasts were crushed against his chest. She refused to look away from his furious expression.

“I can bring you to your knees with a single thought. Don’t tempt me to prove it to you by allowing yourself to continue your charade that I don’t affect you. I can make you do anything I want. Things your virgin body hasn’t even dreamed are possible.”

“You can force me to do many things.” She made herself stand still, ignoring the growing wetness between her thighs. “But even a god can be hurt,” she cooed, licking her bottom lip suggestively as she jerked her knee upward, forcing Hades to release her as he doubled over in pain.

She didn’t run, knowing her door was locked. Bravely, she simply waited for Hades to straighten, staring at him defiantly as he took a limping step toward her.

“You just made a mistake you’re going to regret.” With a wave of his hand, Zerina found herself being transported. She closed her eyes to combat the feeling of vertigo as his power surrounded her. When she felt ground under her once again, she opened her eyes.

Even Mother heard the screams that came from the bowels of the earth, causing the heavens to weep along with her.

On Sale Now for #99cents

Cara, a powerful Moirae, finds herself stranded on Earth made human by an enemy of her mother, Fate. Lost and alone, she is forced to accept the reluctant help of Jericho Hawk. When Cara's Cousin Grimm appears and proves Cara's crazy stories are actually true, he must overcome the horrors her mother is responsible for to gain an eternity with the woman he has come to love.

How can you save someone who doesn’t want to be saved?

For Broni, being stranded on Earth was not the worst possible thing that could happen. Given the opportunity to finally meet Rhys Stone, she decides to take what she can get with what time she has left before her enemies find her.

Rhys is forced to live again by a woman who doesn’t understand the word no, and has no shame in offering him anything he wants. Excerpt:
Shiloh pushed open the door to the first bedroom. She flicked on the switch, winced at the bright light, and immediately shut it off. Stripping out of her boots and clothes, she face planted on the bed, bare-assed as the day she was born. After a bit of wiggling, she managed to pull the covers over her and curled up in the center of the queen-size bed. It had been a long time since she’d had a bed to herself. Maybe if she weren’t completely plastered, she’d have enjoyed it a bit more. Of course, now that jerkwad was out of her life, she was going to have tons of time to sleep by herself.
The alcohol-induced haze made her feel like she was floating, drifting on a cloud. Her stomach no longer felt queasy. Shiloh closed her eyes and dozed. A while later, she thought she heard a noise in the room, but dismissed it as her imagination. Dallas had said she’d probably have the place to herself. And she’d remembered to lock the door. She sighed and rolled over. When the bed dipped, she bolted upright, clutching the blankets to her chest.
“Hello?” She tried to see in the inky darkness, but could only make out the shape of a man. Oh hell, had she picked the wrong bed?
There was a click and a lamp turned on. She squinted until her eyes adjusted. The man sitting beside her was even larger than his brother, and she hadn’t thought that was physically possible. Dark hair was buzzed short, and his profile showed a strong jaw and long, straight nose. There was an Army tattoo on one bicep. His broad back was toned, and his arms looked large enough to break someone in half. Or cuddle them really close. She gave herself a mental slap. When his blue eyes focused on her, her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth. No one had ever looked at her like that before.
“Looks like my brother got me a going-away present after all.” Appreciation lit his eyes as he scanned her.
She shook her head.
“No? Well, sweetheart, I can’t think of any other reason for a naked woman to be in my bed.”
“I picked the wrong room,” she mumbled.
He gave her a sardonic smile. “I know for a fact Rebecca wouldn’t approve of Dallas sharing his room with any naked women except her. So, if you were looking to trap him in some way, you picked the wrong mark.”
“No, I … he’s helping me.”
The man turned and braced his hands on either side of her hips, leaning in close, his lips nearly brushing hers. “What I think is that your plan isn’t going the way you’d thought it would so you’re making up stories. But I’m a pretty nice guy. I’ll give you thirty seconds to get that sweet ass of yours out of my bed, dressed, and the fuck out of this apartment.”
She licked her lips and didn’t move.
“Or, if you’re still here in thirty seconds, I’m going to take it as an invitation and see if those lips taste as sweet as they look.”
Her eyes widened. He wouldn’t really kiss her, would he? She trembled a little at the thought of the powerful man caging her in putting his lips on hers. The thought of his hands on her body… Heat flushed her cheeks and spread down into her chest. She wasn’t seriously considering sitting here just to see if he’d really do it, was she?
“Time’s up.”
Her lips parted, but before she could utter a word of protest, his mouth pressed against hers, his tongue invading and tasting. Oh Lord! Shiloh had never been kissed so thoroughly before. His expertise was enough to make her weak-kneed and ready to beg for more. Her body burned and she dropped the blankets to reach for him. As he pushed her back against the bed, she became acutely aware of the fact he was just as naked as her.
Was she really about to have sex with a complete stranger? She didn’t even know his name!
He trailed hot kisses down her neck, giving her ear a nip. A shiver skated down her spine as her nipples puckered. Oh, hell yeah! He can do whatever he wants to me.

About the Author:
Paige Warren spends her days weaving tales about alpha male cowboys and the women who love them. There's nothing hotter than a man in tight Wranglers and a pair of well-worn boots. You have to admit, there's something sexy about a man who knows how to use a rope!
A cat lover, she has more than one furbaby running around, keeping her company in the wee hours of the morning as she tries to find just the right way to say "His skin gleamed, the early morning rays caressing his sun bronzed flesh, as he studied her from beneath the brim of his Stetson." Or, you know, something similar.
When Paige isn't dolling out tons of affection on the furbabies, or slurping down a pot of coffee (Yes! A whole pot!) so she can get in her daily word count, she enjoys reading and watching movies—romances, usually.

Read an excerpt from @ljlongo 's new release #PNR #shifter Romance on the Go 'Hiring the Tiger' @evernightpub

Thanks for having me on your site! I’m excited to share Hiring the Tiger because it’s both my first F/M story and also my first series. While Hiring the Tiger is a stand-alone, there will be three other books in the series about the rest of the pack.

Blurb:
A tiger shouldn’t be picking tea-leaves and carrying luggage, but that’s the only job Navarro sees in his future. He’s learned to be humble since he and his friends, a wolf pack, exchanged their former careers as highway robbers for prison.

Then Lady Jasprite Doughton, a merchant with all the grace of the far East and the wealth of the West, whirls through the village on the back of a dragon and reminds Navarro what it means to want something. With her dominating sexual tastes and her powerful personality, Jasprite challenges his body, his lust, his loyalty to his friends, and his own worth.

After all, is gold enough to buy a tiger?

Excerpt:
Nav worried she wouldn’t like the look of the bands, too dirty, too bold. Then he scoffed because he didn’t give a damn if she liked the look of them. Then he worried she’d decide he was a frivolous expense.
Fuck the bet, he’d take for her free. Now, he wanted her.
Now she was here.
He smelled her in the hallway, potent and sexual. She walked with quick long strides and opened the door before he could decide if he ought to be found in the balcony or on the bed.
Jasprite locked the door after she entered, then dropped the key into her front vest pocket. She grinned at him, the kind of leer men give the village girls washing their clothing at the river. It made him feel curiously misplaced.
“So, the captain was wrong. The chest was delivered safe and whole. You didn’t even open it.”
“I didn’t have the key.” He’d resisted the desire to pick it. “Ramsay also said you ought to hire a soldier to do this work.”
“A miscreant will do the job more thoroughly.” She pulled off her suit jacket and hung it on a wall hook, never taking her eyes from him. “Though, I’ll be honest, I don’t like animals. Especially, large ones. They don’t take direction well. Your witch said you’re a tiger.”
Nav grinned. “She’s not wrong.”
The lady’s eyebrow raised with annoyance. He wasn’t playing properly. He tried to be timid again. “Did you want proof, Lady Doughton?”
“Never had a tiger for hire.” She grinned at her name then pulled the string of jewels out of her bun, plucked something from the string, and tossed something over to him. He caught a key. “Open the chest.”
He knelt and opened the red chest with a gamely smile.
The smile left quickly. “Holy Hades…”
Under the layers of cotton were shackles, collars, whips. Long thick phallic statues of carved and polished wood, glass, and shining metal molded for a very specific purpose. Gags, hoods, dozens of other toys he’d never seen even in the most wicked books.
She chuckled, not a pleasant sound. “I knew you wouldn’t be ready.”
“Uh…” He looked from the box to her. He wanted her strong thighs, those tempting breasts, her cruel smile. But the box … men were supposed to use toys like that, not women.
“You like my collection?”
“I don’t know, actually.”
She hummed, unimpressed with his answer. She sauntered over and peered with him into her box of deviance. Her thighs were level with his face, and he inhaled the rich fresh wetness between her legs. He wanted her so much.
Nav swallowed, uncomfortable on his knees. He should have been the one staring down at her. She should have been the one to feel small and desired. Instead, she’d made him nothing more than his throbbing cock and his wordless mouth.
“Yes, this is exactly my problem with large animals. Especially ones that belong to other women.” She gripped his chin.
“I don’t belong to Yenna.”
She grinned. “I know who you belong to.”
Nav shivered a little at the ownership in her confidence.
Jasprite let him go. “I do like a pretty face though. So, I’ll make an exception for you, tiger.”
She could still tell him no? He wasn’t sure he had the option himself.
The woman unbuttoned her vest. “Pick out what you’ll let me use on you and I’ll tell you what you’re worth.”

Excerpt 1:
Bryce watched the blonde woman sitting alone at the table on the outskirts of the bar. Nursing his drink, he sloshed the remaining amber liquid in the glass and pondered going over and talking to her. Pretty and petite, he had a feeling she would be interesting to talk to. At one point, she’d met his gaze and something tripped inside him, making the bold comment he’d planned sink into wordless nothing.
His wolf howled, pacing beneath his skin, definitely interested, the call to mate nearly boiling under his skin. Was she any different than the others? Barflies, he was learning, were not helping in his search.
There was no mystery as to what that meant in the shifter world. His animal had found a woman he wanted as a mate. But that didn’t mean his human side necessarily agreed. He should be gearing up to go to his pack’s gathering, but none of the females had caught his interest. And if not now, he couldn’t imagine that would change in the two months when he was expected to go. All unmated wolves were required to attend.
Fuck that.
His mate was right here, staring him in the face. But she wasn’t a shifter, and he had to take care. It would have been so much more simple if she had been. Chemistry would have taken over, and that would have been that.
If he were smart he would walk away and just plan on going to the gathering. But there was something about her, drawing him closer like a fly to honey. He’d walked by the table earlier, and her scent had snared him, his cock hardening.
Huh. Fly. The irony of the thought made him cringe.
Bryce had seen her here once or twice before, but she’d been with two guys. The one from before and another guy. They’d always laughed and had a good time. But today she’d been down, barely meeting the other guy’s conversation from the looks of it.
Interesting.
His wolf rumbled in his chest, unhappy with his choice to remain an observer. But something told him all wasn’t as it seemed. As soon as the thought came, it went as he watched the woman his wolf wanted as a mate.
He’d brought other women home, but it was always her in the back of his mind. No matter the curves. But damned if she wasn’t always dating some other guy. The man she was with before had gotten up and left, but she’d stayed. Was she meeting someone here?
She’d danced with one of the guys from the bar, but one song later and she was back at her table, a new drink in hand.
It was now or never. Before some other asshole decided to get in his way.
And he was tired of keeping his distance.
Fuck it.
He stood, his pulse thrumming under his skin and made his way over to her table. Her blonde hair cascaded down around her heart-shaped face, her eyes twinkling with merriment as she took him in.
“Is this seat taken?”
She glanced up at him, a smile playing at the corner of her lips. “Not anymore.”
