McKenzie McCormick moved back home for one reason only, and falling for a soldier isn’t it…
Fort Stewart is only a few miles away, which means her hometown has its fair share of soldiers. But Kenzie chooses to steer clear of them, as she still struggles to cope with the grief of losing her father to war. All she wants to do is help her aunt take care of her ill grandmother—until a gorgeous green-eyed Army Captain moves back into town.
The last thing Captain Remington Bennett expects to find is a pretty brunette while out on his morning run…
Intrigued by the woman he passes almost every morning, Remy is determined to get to know the brown-eyed beauty. Kenzie is reluctant to get too close, but his persistence in pursuing her slowly breaks down her defenses, turning what started out as nothing more than a nod and a shy smile into something neither of them could have predicted.
War has already taken too much from her, and Kenzie can’t afford to lose her heart to a soldier…
Even though the mutual attraction becomes too strong to ignore, Kenzie keeps fighting her feelings for the handsome Captain. But when Remy is called out on a mission and she’s faced with the possibility he might not come back, Kenzie realizes she may have let her only chance at love slip through her fingers.
Now that Kenzie is finally ready to embrace love with the kind of man she has spent her entire life avoiding, it might just be too late…

Excited to reach that goal, she moved on to the next series she had in mind and wrote Saved By a Soldier (June 2016), My Broken Soldier (July 2016), Forever My Soldier (August 2016), and A Soldier for Bella (September 2016).

Welcome @LeaBronsen with hot new release Fiery 10-16 #firefighter #darkromance #suspense

Hi, and thank you for hosting my new dark romantic suspense!
Fiery 10-16 is a scorching firefighter story of desire, abuse, and bravery.

Runo Wiggins is a scarred man, the wounds etched into his psyche deeper than those on his skin. But he loves his job: fighting fires helps reenact his survival of a house fire as a teen, one that killed his mother and brutal stepfather.

 Dawn Caravello is married to a psychotic drunk. She can take his beatings as long as he doesn't touch their children, and she'll do anything to put food on the table, even if it means stealing from the town hero. When Runo meets the fiery Dawn, sparks fly. But he suspects she is victim of the same abuse as his mother was. As day turns to night, the past and the present blend in an exhausting, nerve-wrecking chase to prevent another death.

A Fairy Tale Romance in #midweektease #romance @evernightpub #PNR

Midweek tease this week comes from
A Fairy Tale Romance

When delectable Thorn Valmont buys an old palace to renovate on the Mediterranean coast, he never dreams it will cost him his freedom.
Thorn is part of an aristocratic family. He’s a prince and must find his princess to solve a puzzle he inherits from the ancient owners of the Mediterranean palace.
Will he find her in time to stop his loneliness from destroying him completely?
Read the teaser
She stood so close her breath brushed his skin.

The citrus tang of her shampoo or shower gel filled his head. He trembled with need. It had been so long since he’d kissed or been kissed, so long since he’d enjoyed a woman’s body against his. He looked along her body, his gaze traveled across her breasts, and down to her bare thighs. The lure of what lay just under the hem of the dress speared him. Thorn closed his eyes for a second. The pain of loneliness made him feel foolish—pathetic.

“Hi, Thorn … Mr. Valmont … can I call you Thorn? It’s a lovely day again. This is a great beach. Do you ever swim?”

Thorn heard her voice through his fog of need, as if she was far away. He nodded.
“Please call me Thorn. I do swim sometimes. I like to walk here.” He opened his hand and showed her a cowrie shell polished by the sand and sea. “Sometimes I find pretty things.”
He looked into her eyes. He meant her as well as the shell.

Grace stared back at him.

He felt sure she understood his meaning. He wished for her touch.

Magically she leaned into him. She slid a slender fingertip along the shell. “What a lovely pattern.” Her other fingers briefly touched his palm.

A flash of pure sexual response sparked along his lower stomach. He bent his head to hers. The pull of attraction was so strong he couldn’t help himself. He slipped his free hand along her cheek into her hair and kissed her.

The touch of her lips, the soft, and then firm press of her mouth against his was so good, a low moan escaped from the back of his throat. He let the shell fall to the sand, slid his arm around her waist, and brought Grace to his body in a hug as he kissed her over and over. Ten years since the feel of another’s skin on his, ten years since he’d trailed his fingers over the sexy softness of a woman’s breast, he closed his eyes, and kissed her hard.

She pressed up against him, held him close, and returned his kisses.

Her tongue slid along his and Thorn crushed her hips to his as the delicious sensation hardened his cock. Thorn savored her kisses. He drifted his hand down to grasp a handful of her ass. Unable to withdraw, he kissed her as if his life depended on keeping his mouth locked with hers.

Grace traced the muscles in his arms. She pushed a hand between their bodies to rest it on the bulge in his jeans.

Thorn trapped it there as he hugged her close. He felt her fingers as if no fabric existed between his body and her hand. Joy and raw sexual arousal spiraled through him. His rock hard cock leaked pre-cum and Thorn thrust a little against her palm. His thighs weakened. His heart hammered. His kisses softened so that he could rub the tip of his nose along her cheek and breathe the scent of her skin.

She moved her mouth from his with a small sound, a whisper of appreciation. “Mmm.”

They pulled apart to breathe, and gazed at each other.

Thorn recognized desire in her eyes. He knew his eyes reflected it. All the same, he took her hands and held them to his heart. “Sorry, sorry, I hope …”
She stopped him. “Don’t say that. Don’t say sorry as if that was a mistake, as if we didn’t share something special, as if I didn’t kiss you back, longing to feel your skin under my fingers.” She spread her fingers along the bare skin of his muscled chest.

Finally, Gideon can no longer resist the urge to embrace her, and Louisa is sure he will ask for her hand. But Gideon believes he is in no position to marry. The Rothwell estate has gone bankrupt, a scandal simmers in its wake, and he has nothing left to offer. Now, he must decide if he will let pride stand in the way of true love—or if he will risk everything, and let the lady decide for herself…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Early morning, Hyde Park, May 1815
Dawn had broken only a few minutes before, but a light fog clouded the air making the sun look like a small yellow ball. Gideon, Duke of Rothwell, was certain he was the only rider at this hour of the morning. Needing the calm a hard ride gave him, he thundered down the empty carriage way. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a dark bay burst through the mist, disturbing his solitude. Yet it was the massive dog, almost the size of a pony, keeping pace with the horse that caught his notice.
What the devil?
Faisu, his black Murgese stallion, pranced nervously as Gideon brought him to a halt. “Easy, boy. We don’t need that beast tangling with you. He could sever your hamstrings in an instant.”
A moment later, a twist of long, dark hair pulled loose from under the rider’s hat, riveting his attention on the woman. By the time she was even with him, he’d taken in the neat figure encased in a dark blue riding habit, and her excellent seat.
She glanced over, slowing her horse for a bare moment as she passed him. Her cheeks were pink from the cool air and a smile graced her lush rose lips. Their gazes collided and held. As if they were the only two people on earth. In that second, Gideon felt as if he would tumble into the vivid blue of the rider’s eyes that reminded him of lapis.
She cannot be real.
He blinked and she was gone. He might have dreamed her except that a few seconds later, a groom raced by, clearly attempting to catch up with his mistress.
For a moment he was tempted to follow as well, but it wouldn’t do him any good. She was obviously a lady, and even if he could obtain an introduction, and their relations proceeded satisfactorily, he was not yet in a position to wed.
It was pure fantasy to think of marriage in conjunction with a woman he’d seen in passing. Still, he would have liked to have been able to dream.
Blast Father! If he were still alive, I’d shake some sense back into him.
But the old duke had been in the ground for over three months when Gideon had returned from Canada. Now all he could do was pick up the pieces his father had left behind.
She laid the tray over his lap and as she did, she looked into his eyes.
Her face was so close to his. He moved his gaze from her eyes to her lips. What would he give to kiss her? He leaned a little and she met him. Her mouth a soft merge on his, Ryder breathed her in, the scent of her skin, the satin texture against his nose and chin. He lingered in the gentle kiss as long as he could and then he drew away.
His objective in life is to love and protect her. Guest author @ElyzabethVaLey visits with new #PNR Seamus's Mate @evernightpub
Alpha Protectors, 2
Kaila is His. His Mate. Forever.
When Seamus discovers Kaila is in danger he sets out to save her. He couldn’t care less that she doesn’t want him there. His objective in life is to love and protect her. Besides, she might refuse to be with him, but her body knows better. With both their lives on the line, she can’t say no to his aid, can she?
For years, she has ignored her feelings. Kaila’s mission was supposed to be easy: enter the demon’s lair and save her sister. Then, he came along. For close to twenty years she has been fighting against the mating pull. She has avoided Seamus at all costs, but now they’re both trapped in hell and she has nowhere to run, except, maybe, into his arms.
Excerpt:
“Wait up, Kaila.”
She didn’t acknowledge him, and he rushed to catch up with her. He grasped her wrist, spinning her around with force.
“Didn’t you hear me?” he asked.
Kaila’s gaze narrowed. Her lips pursed into an ugly grimace.
“Let go of me, Seamus. Why don’t you let this weak human die already?” She poked him
in the chest with her index finger. “I didn’t ask for your help.”
Seamus scrubbed a hand over his face. “What is wrong with you? You’re not making any sense. I know you didn’t ask for my help. I gave it freely, but you aren’t going to deny that we are different, are you?”
“Fuck you.”
Blinding rage took over him. Seamus dug his fingers into her arm. He was tired of all this nonsense. He pulled her closer. Her arm shot out to keep him away, but not fast enough. He swooped down and claimed her lips. She gasped, and he seized the chance to push his tongue into her warm recess. He groaned. She tasted better than he remembered. For a brief moment, she grappled with him, attempting to break lose, but he grabbed her arms with ease and held them behind her back.
He twisted his tongue around hers, drawing it out from its reluctance and forcing it to battle with his. Something in his chest tightened as she responded. Yes. He sucked and tugged and demanded more. She gave it to him. Her body arched against his, her mouth seeking his with almost as much desperation as he possessed. His hold on her slackened.
He wanted to touch her everywhere. To press his lips to her body and taste every inch of her. His hand trailed to the curve of her ass, then to her waist. Then, bang! Her knee slammed against his leg. He released her, cursing. He’d probably be incapacitated for life if she’d hit her mark.
“Fuck you, Seamus.”
“Whenever you want, babe. I know you’ve got the hots for me, even if you just tried to castrate me and failed miserably.” He laughed.
Kaila spun and walked away from him again. She was probably not trying to be sultry, but her hips swayed in that way that drove a man to stare. She lifted her arm and gave him the finger. He grinned. She was pissed and sexy. He loved it.
Seamus took in a shaky breath. Watching her back on her feet, her spirit alive and surging, was soothing. He rubbed at the spot where she’d kneed him. It hurt, but it was proof that she was herself again, not lying in a puddle of blood, shredded to pieces by a monster. He glanced at the Dream Catcher’s skeleton out of the corner of his eye. He hadn’t told Kaila the details of what he’d suffered inside the beast. The images of her dead body, broken, destroyed. He didn’t wish his worst enemy a fate like that.
He stretched his wings and snapped them back into place. Even they ached. He adjusted his now-flaccid cock and shuddered. He hurried after Kaila. The place appeared deserted. There were no scones in the wall giving off light. Instead, the walls themselves seemed to pulse with energy. They glowed from the inside as if behind them a relentless flame burned. He frowned. He extended his arm and placed his pinkie on the rock. It burned.
“Damn it.” He put the digit in his mouth, hoping to sooth the sting. “Don’t touch the walls, babe. They’re hot.”
Kaila didn’t reply, but she moved a little closer to the center of the path.
